    West Jaintia Hills District Administration joined hands in celebrating the 51st Statehood day of Meghalaya in the conference Room, DC’s office, Jowai organised by the Deputy Commissioner office, Jowai.

    In his address, BS Sohliya Deputy Commissioner called for further cooperation from all officers of various line departments of the District during election process on the 27th February, 2023.

    He also requested all officials to play their role responsibly with great enthusiasm and working hand in hand with the District Administration

    HML Kynta, MCS ADM described it as a day to acknowledge the contribution made by the statesmen, scholars, farmers, academicians, artists, government servants and each and every citizen of the state who have over the years contributed towards making our state one of the most beautiful peace loving state in the country.

    Other present included Superintendent of Police Bikram D Marak, MPS, ADCs FB Basan, MA Challam and DV Lyngdoh, WK Kharbuli, Extra Assistant Commissioner, all line department heads of the district, Church leaders and NGOs representatives attend the function.
