The Urban Campaign of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) reached Jowai on December 13, where an elaborate programme was held at Ladthadlaboh. The aim of the yatra is to achieve saturation of various welfare programs launched by the Government of India.
Under the campaign, a specially designed IEC (Information, Education, Communication) van reached Ladthlaboh, one of the busiest market places in the area. During its halt at the location, the IEC van created awareness among the general public about various developmental initiatives taken by the Government of India for the state.
Under the IEC campaign, the camp was organised to offer services like free health checkups, on-spot facility to get Aadhaar cards issued and also to update existing cards. The residents also came forward to get Ayushman Bharat health cards issued, and gather awareness under PM SVANidhi scheme.
On the occasion, a pledge on Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, to make India a developed and self-reliant nation by the year 2047, was administered to the participants. A quiz competition on Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra was also held on the occasion among the attendees.
