    In view of the imposition of odd-even rule on movement of private vehicles, the Meghalaya Government has allowed the use of private vehicles by government employees on due authorization.

    This is as per order issued by C.V.D Diengdoh IAS who is the Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Home (Political) Department.

    Officials and staff of the Government of Meghalaya working in the Civil Secretariat and Directorates may apply for pass for their private vehicles from their respective heads of departments. The heads of departments may provide the list of such passes issued to the Deputy Commissioner concerned.

    Officials and staff of the Office of the Deputy Commissioners and district level offices may apply for pass for their private vehicles from the Deputy Commissioners concerned.

    Officials and staff of Central Government Offices and Banks may apply for pass for their private vehicles from their respective heads of departments. The heads of departments may provide the list of such passes issued to the Deputy Commissioner concerned.

    The passes to be issued by their respective heads may carry the name, designation and the office of the concerned staff along with the name, designation and the official seal of the issuing authority. Further, it is advised that the passes may be issued on a weekly basis and for a time period between 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Passes may only be used for official purpose.
