UDP to field Nongrum for Selsella by poll

SHILLONG: The United Democratic Party (UDP) has decided to field former legislator Sayeedullah Nongrum as its candidate for the bye-election to the Selsella Assembly seat, which is slated to be held on April 11.

In a statement issued here on Wednesday, UDP vice president Allantry F Dkhar said, “The Party after due process has cleared the candidature of Shri Sayadullah Nongrum ex- MLA as its candidate for the bye- election from Selsella LA Constituency. “The bye- election will be held simultaneously with the Lok Sabha polls.
