In a joint operation on November 1, Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya, in collaboration with local police, apprehended two Bangladeshi nationals attempting to enter Indian territory illegally. Acting on specific intelligence regarding cross-border infiltration in the East Khasi Hills District, the 4th Battalion of BSF promptly coordinated with Pynursla Police Station.

BSF troops from the 4th Battalion, along with Pynursla police personnel, intercepted a Wagon R vehicle (Registration No. ML-05 AC 1946) on NH-40 near Pynursla. During the search, two Bangladeshi nationals and an Indian taxi driver, suspected of facilitating the crossing, were taken into custody. The vehicle was also seized.

This successful operation underscores the unwavering commitment of BSF and local police in securing the international border and preventing unauthorized entries. The apprehended individuals and the vehicle have been handed over to the concerned police station for further investigation and necessary action.
