    The no entry arrangement put in place for the visit of Prime Minister of India to Shillong on Tuesday.

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah will attend the swearing in ceremony of the new Meghalaya Government on Tuesday at Raj Bhavan Shillong.

    With a view to ensure safe and smooth passage of the VVIPs during their visit and for better convenience of general public, the office of Superintendent of Police East Khasi Hills District will impose No Entry for vehicular movement in numbers of roads in Shillong from 10:20 AM to 12:30 PM.

    A no entry will be in place from 7th Mile towards Umshyrpi Bridge / Rilbong Point.

    Further, no entry from Khlieh lew Junction/Murgi Bazaar Junction towards Upper Shillong and Anjalee Petrol Pump-Civil Hospital Point – IGP Point-Kachari Point – Raj Bhawan.

    Again another no entry from Mahavir Park Junction towards Umshyrpi Bridge and Anjalee Petrol Pump.

    No entry from Police Bazaar towards Kachari Point – Raj Bhawan, from CS Junction towards Raj Bhawan and also from Pinewood towards Raj Bhawan.

    No entry will be in force from St. Anthony’s College towards Gurudwara Junction – AIR Junction, from Lower Lachumiere towards AIR Junction – Raj Bhawan.

    Again another entry from Barrick Point towards Civil Hospital Junction.

    East Khasi Hills police asked citizens of Shillong and adjoinng areas to avoid journey in and around Shillong city unless required or on emergency purposes or take alternate route for their destination(s).
