    Intensifying their agitation against the Meghalaya Govt for scrapping PWD Jowai North Division, the Synjuk Ki Waheh Chnong Jowai Urban on Tuesday decided to go for stay at home protest by all its fellow residents on 16th November, next in the whole of Jowai Town.

    Informing this  President of Synjuk ki Waheh Chnong Jowai, Alan Niangti said that the Synjuk  called upon each and every Citizen of Jowai town to stay at home as a mark of solidarity on 16th November, next if the Government do not response to the call for cancellation of the shifting order ofJowai North PWD Division to Shangpung.

    The Synjuk also decided that on the 11th November they will hold a poster Campaign as a protest and as Protest March on the 12th Nov’ 2020.

    As a mark of Protest to the Step motherly attitude of the Government of Meghalaya with regards to the shifting of the Jowai North PWD Division to Shangpung the Synjuk ki Waheh Shnong, Jowai have started a sit in Dharma with effect from the 9th November 2020.

      It may be right that the Synjuk ki Waheh Chnong Jowai to protest or stage dharna against the move of the Government. But I feel it will be more appropriate and beneficial if the Synjuk demand the construction of the uncompleted market at Iawmusiang and pressurize the government to complete the Water Supply for Jowai. I request the Synjuk to take these two more important issues which will benefit to the people of Jowai as a whole.
