The Shillong Traffic Police (STP) in collaboration with the District Medical & Health Officer (DM&HO) on Tuesday conducted a free medical camp for commercial vehicle drivers and traffic police personnel at Khyndailad.

Speaking on the occasion, Superintendent of Police (SP) Traffic K Prasad said that the objective of the free medical health camp is to provide free medical treatment to drivers of commercial vehicles and traffic police personnel.

The SP expressed his appreciation to the DM&HO office for its willingness to conduct the medical camp.

“This treatment is not only for the police but also for the drivers and the people who are on the road most of the day because they may never know what kind of illness they may suffer due to being most of their time on the road” said the SP.

The doctors at the medical camp emphasized the importance of a regular health checkup.
