Scholarship for poor meritorious students
JOWAI: The Smart Charitable Trust Meghalaya invites application for consideration of (L) Smt. Yamuna Naik (retired primary school teacher and mother of Shri. P. Naik, IAS (Retd), chairman , ARRRAC, Government of Meghalaya and President of the Trust) award of Rs. 7000/- each for poor meritorious students of the State based on the result of current year SSLC examination in collaboration with the Education Department, Government of Meghalaya.
Eligibility criteria: The applicant should have passed out from any school in Meghalaya with 80% marks and above during the current year 2019-2020.
Selection:
- The award is limited to 20 meritorious students who meet the eligibility criteria.
- Additional weightage for selection from the eligible candidate will be provided to category, income and location of the school, in the State from which the application passed out.
- The application may be submitted in the following format:
- Name of the Applicant
- Name of Father/Mother/Guardian
- Name of the School from which passed out during the current year
- Percentage of marks secured (Photo copy of marksheet to be attached)
- Income of parents/ Guardian per year
- Whether belonging to ST/SC/OBC category ( in case yes certificate by DC to be attached)
Signature of the applicant
- Complete application from along with attested documents/ testimonials may be submitted to the office of the Deputy Commissioner of the District where the school is located on or before 15.08.2019.
