Sanju arrested for trafficking 125.19 grams heroin

Sanju Haque Lasker, (29 Yrs) from Sonai, Kachudharam, Dakshin Mohanpur Part-VI, Cachar Silchar was arrested for trafficking of suspected Heroin – 125.19 grams on Saturday morning in East Jaintia Hills District.

Police said Lumshnong PS during naka vehicle checking one vehicle bearing ML-05-J-8725 (Tourist Sumo -White Colour) was stopped for checking and during which 10 soap cases from one bagpack of Sanju Haque Lasker was detected.

After observing all formalities under NDPS Act and in the presence of the independent witnesses, the yellow/ orange powder was tested and gave positive results for Heroin. The net weight was found to be 125.19 grams.

Police said case vide Lumshnong PS Case No. 17(3)2023 u/s 21(b)/29 NDPS Act has been registered.

Police said they seized from the accused Cash amounting to Rs. 4550/ and Identity Cards including the EPIC, AADHAR, Driving License, Pan Card, e-SHRAM.
