Sanbor Shullai urge centre to support state in developing arts and culture

Meghalaya Arts and Culture Minister, Sanbor Shullai on Friday met Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, G. K. Reddy at his office at Transport Bhawan, New Delhi and discussed the Ministry’s support to the state for Arts and Culture development initiatives.

In a letter to the Union Culture Minister, the BJP Minister in the Meghalaya Democratic Alliance government, requested the Union Minister for early sanctioned for the New Rabindranath Tagore Culture Complex at Rilbong, Shillong under Tagore cultural complex (TCC) scheme for the state of Meghalaya.

Shullai said this will be a token of appreciation for the state on its 50 years of statehood in 2022.

Shullai also ask the Tourism and Cultural Minister to release the pending projects for Meghalaya Tourism Development Corporation which was initiated when he was the chairman of the corporation.

Reddy has assured the Minister to look into the matters.
