Sadhu appointed as new EKH DC

Ahead of the assembly elections, the state government on Monday appointed IAS officer SC Sadhu as the new Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills District.

Sadhu, who was Director, Community & Rural Development and Secretary in-charge Fisheries department, replaced Isawanda Laloo, according to a notification issued by Commissioner & Secretary in-charge Personnel & AR (A) R Lyngdoh here.

Laloo will now take charge as Director, Community & Rural Development and as Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya Community & Rural Development and Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare Departments.
