Ri Bhoi District Cricket Association (RBDCA) registered a commanding 171-run victory over Eastern West Khasi Hills District Cricket Association (EWKHDCA) in the MCA U-16 Boys Inter District Tournament 2025. The league match was held at Madan Thad Mukhla Mission, Thadlakein Block.

Batting first, RBDCA posted a competitive total of 226 for 9 in 50 overs. Captain Manbhalang L Marshillong played a key knock, scoring 48 off 84 balls, while Anmol Shah was the top scorer with a fluent 61 from 71 balls, hitting 10 boundaries. Opener Rooney L Nonglait also contributed 20 runs from 40 deliveries.

EWKHDCA’s bowlers fought back in patches. Dabetbhalang Kharjana picked up 3 wickets for 40 runs in 12 overs, while Dernlee Thabah, Bashanbor Warjri, Welldone Marngar, and Jopshwa L Mawnai chipped in with one wicket each. Despite the efforts, RBDCA kept the scoreboard ticking, aided by 28 extras, to finish on 226/9.

In reply, EWKHDCA struggled to find momentum and were bundled out for just 55 runs in 21 overs. Jopshwa L Mawnai top-scored with a quick 11 off 10 balls, while Welldone Marngar added 10 runs. The rest of the batting collapsed under relentless pressure from RBDCA’s bowlers.

Anmol Shah was outstanding with the ball, claiming a five-wicket haul for just 4 runs in 2 overs. Nobojit Chettri supported well with 2 wickets, while Cornelius Syngkli and Keshab Shah took a wicket each. RBDCA’s sharp fielding also resulted in two stumpings and a run-out.
