To prevent the spread of COVID-19 also known as coronavirus, authorities from the District Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) East Jaintia Hills District on Monday sanitized public places in the district.

The coordinator added that we have already covered most areas in and around Rymbai and Jalaphet in the previous days and today we worked at Lumshnong on areas like the main market, PHCs and the main roads.

He also said that the we will continue with the disinfection activities in public places in the coming days.

“We will be moving to other parts of the district with help from Rangbah Shnong for sanitizing while our volunteers will continue spreading awareness on the correct hand washing technique and other related information.” He added.
