    In order to ensure peaceful conduct of the Assembly Election and prevent defamation of public and private properties within the District, the District Magistrate of West Jaintia Hills has issued prohibitory orders under Section 144 CrPC for all contesting candidates or their agents or the Political Parties.

    No wall writing, pasting of poster, papers or defacement in any other form or erecting, displaying of cutouts, hoardings, banners etc shall be permitted on any public property or public premises.

    No wall writing, paper pasting of poster, papers or defacement in any other form or erecting, displaying of cutouts, hoardings, banners etc shall be permitted on any private property or private walls without written permission from the house owners and final approval from Deputy Commissioner Office.

    Meanwhile, the additional deputy commissioner Amlarem Civil Sub Division informed that the Control Room Number 18003453802 & 9485432400 (toll free) has been setup on which the Public can call or lodge Complaints through cVigil app against any Violation of Model Code of Conduct.

    Holding of any Rally, Campaign, Political gatherings, setting up of Temporary Party Office, Printing and publishing of Posters/Pamphlets, the Permission must be obtained from the office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Amlarem Civil Sub Division or apply via Online mode through Suvidha App.

    Permissions for Vehicles must be obtained from the additional deputy commissioner, Amlarem.
