    West Jaintia Hills District Superintendent of Police, Bikram D Marak on Friday informed that arrangements have been made for fixing the Radium Reflector on vehicles and supply of First Aids box to the owner/driver of vehicles in West Jaintia Hills district from February 1 to 28, next.

    This is as per Central Motor Vehicle Rule-1989 U/S 104, 138 and 138(4)(c) fixing of Radium Reflector on vehicle to prevent accidents on National Highways and for minimizing of vehicle lifting- Reg.

    He said the nominal charges for above purpose shall not exceed the prescribed rates fixed and rate charts of the same as given below.

    Normal charge for the service:
    1 Two wheeler etching Free service
    2 Two Wheeler Radium Reflector Free service
    3 Four Wheeler etching Rs. 20/-
    4 Four wheeler Radium Reflector Rs 30/-
    5 Six Wheeler goods carrier etching Rs 30/-
    6 Six Wheeler goods carrier Radium Reflector Rs 70
    7 Ten Wheeler Radium Reflector and First Aid box Rs 200/-

    This facility is offered for free of cost for all types of Govt. vehicles. Fixing of Radium Reflector will help in curbing down accidents on roads.

    Vehicles owners and drivers are hereby requested to make use of this facility.
    Strict compliance of the provision of Rules U/S 104, 138 and 138(4)(c) of Central Motor Rules-1989 is expected from the vehicle owner/drivers.

    All OCs and ICs of West Jaintia Hills to extend necessary co-operation for the above purpose as and when required and to ensure that radium reflectors to be fixed on maximum number of vehicles.

    In case in any complain from any customer the matter shall be duly enquired by concerned OCs and ICs and the authorization will be cancelled by the undersigned at any point of time.
