National People’s Party (NPP) national president and Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Friday hit back at the Congress for making false allegations and said necessary permissions have been obtained for construction of the party office here.

“The bottom line of the entire thing is that these are all false allegations and all the necessary permissions have been obtained and all necessary provisions were complied with,” Sangma told reporters.

He said such allegations are completely baseless and also another effort by the opposition to try and just create issues out of non-issues.

According to him, the party had received the provisional building permission on December 22, 2020 and based on which it decided to start the construction.
