Newspaper delivery vehicle attacked in Ri Bhoi

Travelers on National Highway 6 in Ri Bhoi face a serious safety threat as a vehicle carrying Meghalaya Guardian newspapers was attacked at Umling en route to Shillong this morning.

Around 5 AM, four persons assaulted the driver, Biren Boro, injuring him and stealing his phone and cash.

The perpetrator fled the scene, prompting Boro to report the incident to Nongpoh Police station. Boro, who drives the newspaper delivery vehicle, sustained minor injuries and received medical attention. An investigation is underway by Ri Bhoi Police to apprehend the culprits.
