NEHUSU condemns rape against a student
The North Eastern Hill University Students’ Union (NEHUSU) has condemned the recent rape of a student and demanded the state government to ensure justice is delivered.
In a letter to the Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma, NEHUSU president Yshua Lyngdoh said, “We stand together with the victim during this painful period and we make an urgent request that the Government ensure that stringent justice is served in this frightful matter.”
He said the Union vehemently condemned in the strongest of terms such atrocious crimes towards the female counterparts and especially the victim in particular.
