MPCC gets new working presidents

Former minister Deborah Marak and former KHADC chief Pynshngain N Syiem have been appointed as working presidents of the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC).

The proposal was approved by Congress president Sonia Gandhi, AICC general secretary KC Venugopal said in a statement on Wednesday.

He said the president has also approved four secretaries – Billykid Sangma, Grithalson Arengh, Roger Benny A Sangma, E Oscar Phira and Manuel Badwar.

The Congress is reorganizing itself following the mass exodus of 12 MLAs to the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC).
