Mock Air Raid Exercise across Meghalaya tomorrow

The Directorate of Civil Defence & Home Guards, Meghalaya, has announced that a statewide Mock Exercise on Air Raid Precaution will be conducted tomorrow, May 7, 2025, starting from 4 PM.

As part of the exercise, an air raid siren will be sounded at 6:30 PM, followed by a two-minute “black-out” (power shutdown) for two minutes.

The general public is requested not to panic as this is being done as part of a mock exercise for Air Raid.
