    Cabinet Minister and South Shillong legislator Sanbor Shullai on Saturday extended financial assistance, gift hampers and certificates to medical staff, Asha workers, Aganwadi workers, mortuary van drivers and dead body management team of the constituency who have rendered their service for assisting district administration, as a mark of goodwill gesture for their role in combatting the onging COVID-19 pandemic. 

    A total amount of Rs 4 lakh was spent from his salary for the programme.

    Shullai thanked the covid warriors for their role in combatting the pandemic during the lockdown and salute the health workers all across the state for their contribution in fighting this pandemic. 

    Applauding the effort of all frontline worker and also the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, Deputy Commissioner, Doctors, Magistrate and Police personal whose initiative to resolve at local level has helped the state of Meghalaya to contain the COVID-19. 

    Shullai said that inspite of second wave the MDA Government under the leadership of Conrad Sangma has taken initiative to resolve the financial crisis of the state. Shullai said that he will continue to provide assistance to the covid warriors for their role in combating the pandemic.
