Mizoram Police arrested three persons & seized 8.058 kg of heroin

Continuing with their relentless efforts in the fight against drugs, a team of Mizoram Police CID Special Branch arrested three persons including one woman with 8.058 Kgs (664 Soap cases) of orange powder suspected to be heroin, valued at Rs. 2,41,74,000/- in the local market.

The three persons are Lalrohnuna Fanai (33) of Tlangsam, Champhai, Tlanghmingthangi of Tlangsam Vengthlang, Champhai and Lalmuanzuala (24yrs.) of Tlangsam, Champhai

The arrest was made after the Police intercepted two vehicles – one Bolero bearing registration number MZ-04/A- 9872 coming from Tlangsam Champhai via Kelkang, Biate, Keitum and one Pickup bearing registration number MZ- 06-6021 (stationed in Aizawl and waiting for the Bolero) on Tuesday morning at 1:00 AM at Cheuva hills, Thuampui, Aizawl.
