Miscreants set ablaze two vehicles at Police Reserve in Jowai

Two vehicles were torched by miscreants at the Police Reserve Jowai in West Jaintia Hills District on Tuesday morning.

The incident took place at around 2 am when miscreants set ablaze a police bus and a private gypsy parked at the Police Reserve, police said.

The gypsy, which belonged to a policeman, was totally damaged while the bus was partially damaged during the arson incident, they said.

Police suspected that miscreants had hurled petrol bombs at the two vehicles.

Police said a case vide Jowai PS case no. 24(04)2024 U/S 120 B/427/436/34 IPC R/w sec 4 PDPP Act has been registered and investigation is on to nab the culprits behind the attack.
