    The state police on Friday directed all Pakistani nationals except those who are on long term visa, diplomatic and official visa to leave the territory of India immediately on or before April 27.

    The direction has been issued by Superintendents of Police (SPs) – cum – Foreigners Regional Registration Officers of the different districts of the state in compliance with the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) direction dated April 25.

    The Pakistani nationals on medical visa are directed to leave the country on or before April 29 and those on SAARC visa are directed to leave on or before April 26.

    Failure to comply with the above direction shall render such person(s) liable to stringent legal action as per law, the SPs said.

    Any information regarding the presence of Pakistani nationals may be given by the public to the police control room +91 6009196479 / dial 112 or the nearest police station, outpost, beat house, SP East Khasi Hills Vivek Syiem said. 

    Ri Bhoi Sr Superintendent of Police cum Foreigners Regional Registration Officer VS Rathore has also requested the public to inform the police control room (by dialing 112) if they have any information regarding the presence of Pakistani nationals in the district.
