Meghalaya Govt employees & pensioners to receive salaries/pension by December 21

In view of the ensuing Christmas Festival, the Meghalaya Government has decided to disburse Pay and Allowances in advance to all Gazetted and Non-Gazetted Employees/ Pensioners by December 21 December this year.

This is as per letter NO.FEG.49/2018/9 Dated Shillong, the 11th. December, 2023 issued by SC Sadhu, IAS Secretary, Finance Department to all Administrative Departments/Heads of Departments.

The letter reads that, the Governor of Meghalaya is pleased to sanction as a special case in relaxation of Rule 141 of the Meghalaya Financial Rules, 1981, for the drawal of Pay and Allowances to all Gazetted and Non-Gazetted Employees of the Government of Meghalaya including Pensioners for the month of December, 2023 to be payable on the 21 December, 2023 on account of the ensuing Christmas Festival, 2023.
