Meghalaya Education Minister launches NISHTHA programme
Meghalaya Education Minister, Lahkmen Rymbui On Monday launched the National Initiative for School Heads and Teachers for Holistic Advancement (NISHTHA) 2.0 an integrated training programme for Secondary and Higher Secondary teachers of Meghalaya at the Conference Hall, Directorate of Education Research & Training, Shillong.
Addressing the gathering, Rymbui urged upon the teaching fraternity to take part in the online training programme which will benefit the teachers in the future, he also said that the teaching is a profession requiring specialization in terms of knowledge and skills. He further said that education has played a vital role and has contributed a lot in shaping the students and the society. He also said that one of the most important requirements to promote and strengthen education is the training of teachers who are the key resources in the reform, redirection and renewal of Education.
Other dignitaries present include Secretary, Education Department, A Ch Marak, Deputy Director (DERT), P B Lartang beside others. (MIPR)
