Meghalaya completed recruitment process of 400 medical & health officers
In order to address the acute shortage of doctors in various govt health centres in Meghalaya, the Govt has completed the recruitment process of 400 doctors or medical & health officers.
The recruitment process of the doctors was carried out the Meghalaya Medical Services Recruitment Board.
Notably, the Meghalaya Government notified the constitution of the Meghalaya Medical Services Recruitment Board (MMRB) on November last year.
Dr Joram Beda, IAS, Secretary, Meghalaya, Health and Family Welfare Department is appointed as Chairperson and Dr L. Mylliemumlong, Joint Director, Directorate of Health Service (MI), Meghalaya as member secretary.
The members are Joint Secretary, Meghalaya, Personnel Department, Joint Secretary, Meghalaya, Finance Department, Joint Secretary, Meghalaya, Law Department, Directors of Health Service (MI), Meghalaya, Shillong, Dr T.S.R.Marak, MCS, Deputy Secretary Meghalaya, Health and Family Welfare Department, Directors of Health Service (MCH & FW), Meghalaya, Member Shillong and Directors of Health Service (Research), Meghalaya.
The MMSRB declared the result for recruitment to the post of Medical and Health Officers/ Junior Specialists under the Health & Family Welfare Department on 22nd December last.
The post for 400 M&HO was advertised vide Advertisement No. Health. 106/2014/Pt 2nd December, 2022 and No. Health 106/2014/Pt.IV/17, dated: 8th December, 2022. The Computer Based Test (CBT) was held on 14th December last.
The provisional appointment was issued to all the successful candidates as per the merit list last week
The successful candidates should submit a self-declaration certifying that no criminal cases are pending against him/ her, no penal action has been taken in any court of law etc.
The Board will verify character antecedent as per the address provided by the candidates. The competent authority will issue an appointment letter on receipt of a satisfactory police verification report.
