Manipur schools to shut again from Nov 27 amid security concerns
Schools and educational institutions in valley districts of Manipur will be closed again from November 27, for an indefinite period, just two days after resuming on November 25.
The decision to close the schools was issued in a fresh order by the Director of Education, Nandakumar Singh, following consultations with the Home Department.
The order stated the closure applies to government schools, government-aided schools, private schools, and central schools located in the valley districts of Manipur.
The schools will remain closed from November 27 until further notice, it stated.
The order has asked all zonal examination officers under the Department of Education to inform the concerned parties and take necessary actions accordingly.
Schools had previously been closed due to curfews imposed in certain areas after a government order was issued on November 17. They had reopened on November 25 before the latest closure was announced.
This decision follows the ongoing security concerns in the state and aims to ensure the safety of students and educational staff.

Schools and all other educational institutes in Manipur will be closed again from November 27 for an indefinite period, just after two days of opening.
In consultation with the Home Department, Director of Education Nandakumar Singh issued fresh order on Tuesday for closure of the schools from Wednesday onwards.
“In continuation of the office order if even number dated the 24th November all schools of the state government, government-aided , private and central schools located at valley districts will continue to remain closed from November 27 onwards until further order,” the order stated.
The department asked all zonal examinaaaaaation officers under the Department of Education – schools, Manipur are hereby directed to inform all concerned under your jurisdiction and take up necessary actions accordingly.
The schools in the state started functioning from November 25 after closure came into force in areas where curfew had been imposed following a government order issued on November 17.
The state government has announced to resume normal classes of all schools from November 25.
