Man sentenced to 4 years imprisonment under POCSO Act

The court of Special Judge (POCSO) Swapna G Momin has convicted and senctenced one Noni Chakraborty to four years rigorous imprisonment for sexually assualting a minor.

“Chakraborty is sentenced to undergo: RI for 4 years and to pay fine of Rs 3000, in default of fine, to undergo simple imprisonment for another one month for offence punishable under section 8 of POCSO Act,” said a statement issued by the East Khasi Hills SP Vivek Syiem on Monday.
