Literature student from North East Adventist University releases first book
Benjamin Lalminthang Haokip, a 20-year-old literature student at North East Adventist University, has launched his first poetry collection titled “Lyrical Nepenthe.” The book, now available on Amazon, marks Haokip’s debut in the literary world.
Haokip, born in the border town of Moreh in Zalengam, Manipur, has experienced a diverse educational journey, attending at least eight different schools and colleges. Despite these changes, his passion for writing and dressing up has remained constant. He aspires to become a well-known writer and outstanding poet.
“Lyrical Nepenthe” is a compilation of 100 poems organized into eight chapters, each exploring different themes. From heartache to happiness, nature to imagination and dreams, and betrayals to glimpses of joy, this collection reflects Haokip’s rich and varied thoughts. The poems serve as a soothing escape during difficult times.
