    The summer session as well as the winter session of the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC) often late has been observed to be mere a formality as the summer session held on Monday last for 62 minutes only.

    Notably there has been session, which last more shorter of 15 minutes also in the tenure of the present MDC.

    The question and answer hour of the session was lapsed as the MDC namely Lakhon Biam, BJP MDC from Nongbah who posed the questions failed to attend the session.

    Biam posed crucial questions pertaining to JHADC check gates and Weighbridge on their style and functioning besides the revenue or share of the council on major and minor minerals received from the government.

    The House paid tribute to (L) Sing Mulieh who was the former CEM and MDC of JHADC (1983-1994). Mulieh passed away on May 10, last.

    Official report pertaining to promotion of stafff and CAG report for the year 2009, 2010 and 2011 were placed in the floor of the house by JHADC Chief Thombor Shiwat.
