Herman Shylla convicted for murder case

The Court of Session Judge, West Jaintia Hills District, Jowai on May 8 has delivered justice in the long-pending case of the murder of the deceased Lang Pale, on 17-02-2008 by Herman Shylla.

The case was registered vide Jowai PS Case No. 19(2)2008 U/S 302/34 IPC, investigated into and Charge Sheeted by SI M. Myrboh resulted in the conviction of individual Herman Shylla under Section 304 IPC.

The Court has sentenced the perpetrators to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment and an additional 2 months of simple imprisonment. Moreover, the Court has ordered the compensation of Rs. 300,000/- (Three Lakhs) to the victim’s family.
