Free rice distribution in West Jaintia Hills

The Additional Deputy Commissioner (Supply), West Jaintia Hills has informed that rice allotment for Antyodaya Anna Yojna (AAY), Priority Household (PHH) and Non-NFSA categories for January 2024 has been released to all Fair Price Shop dealers in West Jaintia Hills District from January 10-15.

The distribution details for consumers are outlined as follows:

Antyodaya Anna Yojna (AAY): 35 Kgs of rice per AAY Family Identity (F.I.) Card, provided free of cost for both Rural and Urban areas.

Priority Household (PHH): 5 kgs of rice per person, supplied free of cost for both Rural and Urban areas.

Non-NFSA: 7.215 Kgs of rice per household, with rates fixed by the Vigilance Committee, not exceeding Rs.14/- per Kg for both Rural and Urban areas.

All the Fair Price Shop Dealers duly recommended by the competent authority are requested to collect the permits from the office of the Deputy Commissioner (Supply) , West Jaintia Hills and to complete the distribution of Rice within the 10^th  February, 2024 by using the ePos machine on Online mode in their respective centres, without fail.
