FKJGP to continue checking against illegal entry of outsiders
SHILLONG: The Federation of Khasi Jaintia and Garo People (FKJGP) has maintained that it would continue to conduct checking against outsiders without trading license, work permit and labour license in the state.
This came after the state government has recently directed the three autonomous district councils (ADCs) to ensure that no unauthorized persons are allowed to conduct checking in their respective jurisdictions.
In a statement issued here on Friday, chief organizer of the FKJGP, Kitboklang Nongphlang said, “We want to send a clear message to the state government and the ADCs that the organization will continue to conduct checking against outsiders who are entering the state illegally.”
He said the state government and the ADCs have failed in their duties to check and protect the state from influx and illegal immigration.
“We have decided to direct the different districts, circles and units of the organization to continue checking against outsiders without trading license, work permit and labour license to prevent their illegal entry and settlement in the state,” Nongphlang said.
