    The Meghalaya Transport Department on Saturday notified that fares for different categories of commercial public transport vehicles shall also stand reverted to the fares notified prior to COVID’s pandemic with immediate effect.

    According to a notification issued vide NO.TPT.25/2020/Pt.II/225, the Transport Department informed that the seating capacity prescribed for travel by buses, Sumos and maxi cabs, local taxis, auto-rickshaws and two-wheelers is now reverted to the original seating capacity as per Motor Vehicle Act for all categories of vehicles subject to strict compliance of COVID’s pandemic.
