    Acting on a tip off, Mizoram Police seized Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) valued Rs 8,52,500 (total 1705 nos of Rs 500 denomination note) at Zotlang, Champhai, Mizoram on Wednesday.

    Five accused persons – (1) Laltlanzova (38) s/o Lianthangpuia, (2) Lalnunzauva (25) s/o R.Lalrinliana, (3) Lalhriatpuia (27) s/o R.Lalrinliana,(4) Lalthangmawia (24) s/o Lalroenga, (5) Rosangzuala (38) s/o Kapzauva, all of Zotlang, Champhai were arrested. FIR u/s 489B/489C IPC has been registered.

    Another person involved in the case Lalbiaktluanga (48) s/o R. Buatsaiha of Venglai, Lunglei was also arrested on Wednesday in Aizawl by KulikawnPS team. Further investigation on forward and backward linkages is in progress.
