East Jaintia Hills celebrated Statehood Day with 7km run

As part of the celebration, a Meghalaya Day Run was also organized by the office of the District Sports Office, East Jaintia Hills District in collaboration with the District Administration.

The 7 km Run was flagged off by J. Shylla, MCS, Addl. Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat which started from the Old Deputy Commissioner’s Office to Rymbai and back to the Old Deputy Commissioner’s Office where the run concluded. Cash prizes were also distributed to the winners in both the Male and Female category.

In the Male category, Knerlang Phawa won the first prize, Josmi Ryngkhlem bagged the second prize and the third prize was bagged by Kordor. S. Manners. In the Female Category, Rosy Sana, secured the first prize while Lamsuk Phawa and Mariwi Shylla bagged the second and third prize respectively.
