    The Sub-Divisional Officer (Supply) of Amlarem Sub-Division has extended the deadline for applications for the appointment of Public Distribution System (PDS) wholesalers and government nominees. In a notification referencing Advertisement No. ASD/SUP.23/Pt.I/2021-22/291 dated 9th September 2024, the last date for submitting applications is now 9th October 2024.

    There are two wholesaler positions available in Amlarem and one each in Nongtalang, Dawki, and Muktapur. Application forms can be obtained from the office of the Sub-Divisional Officer (Supply), Amlarem Sub-Division, during office hours.

    To be eligible, applicants must have resided in Meghalaya for at least 10 years and be literate. They cannot hold positions as Headman, Village Secretary, or be Executive Committee members. Required documents include a reservation category certificate, Aadhaar card, EPIC, bank passbook, and a trading license for non-tribals.

    Priority will be given to public institutions like Self-Help Groups and Co-operatives if they provide a valid registration certificate. Applicants must also ensure that their premises are suitable for storage and distribution and provide a certified weighing scale if selected. Financial and social standing will also be considered.

    Additional requirements include a Rs. 25 court fee stamp, three attested passport-sized photographs, and a bank guarantee of Rs. 1,00,000 for tribal applicants and Rs. 2,00,000 for non-tribal applicants. Proof of godown availability and valid sales/professional tax certificates must also be submitted.
