Constitution Day observed

Meghalaya Chief Secretary, RV Suchiang led the gathering in reading out the Preamble to the Constitution of India on the occasion of Constitution Day also known as ‘Samvidhan Divas’,  on Friday at Yojana Bhavan, Shillong.

Also present on the occasion were Secretary Planning, Government of Meghalaya CVD Diengdoh, Secretary IPR, Government of Meghalaya, Matsiewdor W Nongbri, officers and staff of different departments. 

Similarly, the Meghalaya State Judicial Academy held a Panel Discussion on Article 14 of the Constitution of India “Equality before the Law and Equal Protection of the Law”, in the Aurobindo Hall, Bivar Road, Shillong.

The Panellists included Dr. Batskhem Myrboh, Assistant Professor, Political Science Department, Synod College,  VK Jindal, Senior Advocate, High Court of Meghalaya and Vivek Syiem, Superintendent of Police (Shillong City), Shillong, East Khasi Hills District. The discussion saw the participation of law students from NEHU and Shillong Law College.
