    JOWAI: In a major political development, the official candidate of the Indian National Congress (INC) switched over to United Democratic Party (UDP) after the latter official Candidate decided to withdraw himself from the fray.

    The Congress candidate is the sitting MDC Of Mowkaiaw Winning Garland Sungoh who decided to join UDP.

    He was unanimously welcomed by UDP supporter in Mowkaiaw constituency after the withdrawal of UDP aspirant Candidate from the election fray due to his personal ground.

    In what can be term on this late entrant of Winning Garland Sungoh to UDP? But the party supporter and Local MLA of Mowkaiaw Nujorki Sungoh term it as a boost for the UDP party.

    Sungoh has tendered his resignation letter today from the congress and he was felicitated by a party worker of UDP in West Jaiñtia Hills District.

    It may mention that the election to the two ADC’s  JHADC and KHADC will be held on February 27.
