Community study hall with power back up constructed in Mukhaialong

In order to address the erratic power cuts and loading shedding, the District Administration East Jaintia Hills District has constructed a Community Study Hall in Mukhaialong in the district.

The hall is being used by students from poor economic background for their Class 10th examination preparation.

Local Waheh Shnong said that with opening of schools, it will be used by students of all classes.

The idea of having a community study hall is to provide a well furnished, decorated, distraction free and brightly lit study hall to students of poor families who don’t have suitable space and atmosphere at their homes to study.

The hall has inverter tube-lights which will provide uninterrupted lighting even in case of power cuts.
