BJP MLAs demand action against Tura City president, others for anti-party activity
BJP MLAs on Thursday demanded action against president and members of the party’s Tura City District for making a scathing attack on the state in-charge Dr M Chuba Ao.
A joint statement issued by BJP MLAs AL Hek, Sanbor Shullai and National Council Member Bashailang Khongwir said the derogatory statement made against the national vice president by the Tura City District president and other members is highly condemnable.
“All persons involved in this derogatory act should be expelled immediately as the allegations are a figment of their wild imagination,” the party leaders said.
They also added that this was a classic case of anti-party activity and warrants immediate disciplinary action of the strictest nature as a district president has made a scathing attack on the state in-charge and national BJP leader, which cannot be tolerated as BJP prides itself on being a disciplined party .
The leaders further urged the state president to intervene and be proactive rather than being a by stander.
