BJP MDC alleges WGH, EGH district admin of delaying reply to RTI on Covid expenditures

BJP MDC Bernard N Marak has alleged that information sought through RTIs on Covid expenditures and others remain unanswered. 

“BJP karyakartas filed RTIs through the District Administration in the West and East Garo Hills seeking information on Covid situation including expenditure in the District but are yet to be answered,” Marak said in a statement issued on Sunday. 

He said BJP also filed RTIs on implementation of various central schemes launched by the BJP Government under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 

He said BJP wants to ensure that all the schemes meant for the poor and the genuine beneficiaries reach them without depriving even a single person. 

Stating that there is a complaint that the schemes are not reaching the poors as promised by the Prime Minister, Marak said, “Therefore, BJP has filed RTIs and the replies will reveal if the schemes are fully implemented or partially implemented.” 

The BJP leader further informed that the Tura Municipal Board had recently replied to the RTI seeking information on MLA and MP schemes adding “The reply was given with details of work but without the names of beneficiaries.”
