  • Aristotle cautioned SSA teachers of fake information

    JOWAI: In the wake of spread of fake news, misinformation or disinformation on internet, particularly using WhatsApp platform, on Thursday, April 4, such incident has been observed by the Meghalaya SSA School Association (MSSASA), Central Body, were a person name Downer Marak forwarded a “Fake information” in the whatsapp group name Pillangkatta CRC SSA School Teacher group which read “Congratulations: our pending arrears 2016-17, four months has released on the  Friday Evening, All District of Meghalaya, received it on the Saturday evening. Our fight shall continue, for due four months arrears”.

    What is more interesting and surprise, the  fake information is written,  spread and circulated by an unknown person  using the name of the Teacher’s Association in the state, the Meghalaya SSA School Association (MSSASA), Central Body and the name of its president Aristotle C Rymbai. The same message is forwarded to another whatsapp group name Dongkiingding CRC group by a person name Stiborsingh Kjana through whatsapp number 8787679710 and the message is forwarded from one whatsapp group to another which has put the SSA Teachers in irked and confusion.

    Aristotle C Rymbai, President of Meghalaya SSA School Association, Central Body, said, the intention of any person who is doing all this and circulated this fake news is only to spoil the image of the Association and his reputation as a president and also to creates a negative mindset of the SSA Teachers against the Association.

    Through this news, the Association send a message to all the SSA teachers that the information is fake and was not published and circulated by the Association. At the meantime the Association requests all the SSA teachers in the State not to become the victim of this fake information and also warm that such incident not to happens again and if the same things repeated, the Association will complaints to the authority concerned to find out the main source of this fake information and to take serious actions against those who involved as per law.
