    SHILLONG: Former president of the Hill State People’s Democratic Party (HSPDP) Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit along with 18 others have decided to quit the party.

    In a joint resignation letter submitted to the party acting president KP Pangniang on Tuesday, the leaders said, “We have decided to resign from the primary membership of the party with immediate effect.”

    The others who resigned include Dr Kara Shen, Shemborlang Rynjah, Grossper Ryntathiang, Pynshongdor Lyngdoh Nongbri, Alestee Diengdoh, Londoner Murphy Sohtun, Dr Bashein Syiem, Elmar War, Clifford Nengnong, Wanhun Massar, Brightstar Marbaniang, Richmond Rapthap, Marcus Lyngdoh, Leading Khyriem, Romen Laitmon, Skhemsing Dkhar, Prain Syiemlieh and Bobby Majaw.
