    SHILLONG: A standee poster with chief minister Conrad K Sangma’s image at the campus of the North Eastern Hill University, Shillong was immediately removed as it was in violation of the model code of conduct.

    Cheif Electoral Officer FR Kharkongor informed on Friday that the action was taken based on complaint uploaded at cVigil.

    Flying Squads on receipt of report with uploaded image on CVigil removed the standee poster which violated MCC, Kharkongor said.

    It may be mentioned here the model code of conduct has come into force since March 10, in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls to be held on April 11.
