    In order to ensure peaceful conduct of the Assembly Elections and prevention of defacement of public and private properties within the East Khasi Hills District, the.District Magistrate and District Election Officer issued a list of prohibitory orders under section 144 CrPC for all the Contesting Candidates or their agents or the Political

    No wall writing, pasting of posters/papers or defacement in any other form, or erecting/displaying of cut-outs, hoardings. banners etc. shall be permitted on any public property/public premises.

    No Political Parties or Candidates will be allowed to put up banners on all roads/thoroughfares.

    No wall writing, pasting of posters/papers or defacement in any other form, or erecting/ displaying of cut-outs, hoardings, banners etc. shall be permitted on any private property or private walls without WRITTEN PERMISSION from the house-owners and final approval from the DC. office.

    No Election meeting would be allowed without taking permission from DC office and subsequently local headmen regarding the venue of the meeting.

    No. P.A. System will be allowed to be used between 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. 6.
    In case of P.A System/Loud speakers which are used without permission from the DC office and the same would be seized immediately by the local authorities.

    No rallies and procession will be allowed without the permission from the undersigned.
