In a key development for Keyi Panyor district of Arunachal Pradesh, Yachuli has been proposed as its district headquarters, replacing the previously considered names Ter Gapin, Sam Sath, and Yachuli.

The proposal was put forward by 16-Yachuli MLA Toko Tatung during a media briefing at his Naharlagun residence, in the presence of Zila Parishad Chairperson (ZPC), Zila Parishad Members (ZPMs), and land donors from Ter Gapin and Sam Sath.

The decision followed extensive discussions with stakeholders, aimed at ensuring a smooth and efficient administrative setup for the newly formed district.

The proposal will now be placed before the Arunachal Pradesh state government for cabinet approval.

Expressing gratitude to Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Deputy CM Chowna Mein, and key organizations like the Nyishi Elite Society, ANSU, AYSU, ANYA, and YCEF, MLA Toko Tatung called for cooperation to drive rapid development in Keyi Panyor and its proposed headquarters.
