Woman murdered, another injured in West Jaintia Hills
One woman was murdered and another man was critically injured after an attack by one person in Sahsniang-A village under Raliang Police Station, West Jaintia Hills District.
The incident took place around 1 Pm on Sunday.
According to the police, the attack occurred in the field of Ailem Bamon, who was murdered with her throat slit.
Another person, Ki Dkhar, was also assaulted and sustained a grievous neck injury. He is currently undergoing treatment at civil hospital in Jowai, police said.
The accused is absconding, and a case has been registered with Raliang Police Station
Police said that investigation is underway to nab the culprits behind the incident.
